What is the plan of the original 1998 film development?

Universal Pictures and Jim Henson Productions was going to announce a comedy-drama film called Knight of Cups in December 21st, 1998, where the knight (portrayed by Ray Romano) and his sidekick horse (portrayed by Brad Garrett). But it is scrapped to their developments, the film is now pushed back in March 4, 2016 instead.
